CALCIUM CARBONATE LCM CACARB
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
CACARB, a high purity ground marble calcium carbonate, an acid-soluble, bridging and weighting agent used in drilling, drill-in and workover/completion fluids. When compared with limestone, the agent features higher hardness and purity, providing better acid solubility
APPLICATION
CACARB is an acid-soluble bridging and weighting agent for controlling fluid loss and density. It is a bridging agent and fluid loss additive. It can be used in fluids ranging from conventional drilling fluids to advanced drill-in fluid systems, including water-based reservoir drill-in fluid, reversible invert-emulsion reservoir drill-in fluid system, invert-emulsion reservoir drill-in fluid system, and high-density divalent reservoir drill-in fluid systems
ADVANTAGES
-
CACARB is used to prevent fluid invasion of permeable zones, and to prevent loss of circulation during drilling, workover, and completion activities.
-
CACARB is applicable in all drilling fluids, aqueous and non-aqueous.
-
Its high-hardness ground marble makeup resists particle-size degradation.
-
It has minimized effect on fluid properties due to essentially inert property
