Oxygen Scavenger MOS-SBS

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

MOS-SBS Sodium Bi-Sulphite solution is a known Oxygen scavenger. It’s readily water soluble and has been prepared for oxygen scavenging in the water injection de-aeration process where the chemical injection process requires a convenient easy to handle dilution.

APPLICATION

MOS-SBS Sodium Bi-Sulphite solution is used as a dechlorination in municipal wastewater, pulp & paper, power, and textile water treatment plants. It’s used in boiler water treatment. Also used as a preservative in photo developer process.

ADVANTAGES

MOS-SBS efficiently remove traces or excess amounts of bromine, iodine, osmate esters, chromium trioxide, and potassium permanganate.

Physical appearance - Clear Pale-Yellow liquid.

Specific gravity - 1.35 – 1.39

pH  - 4.0 – 5.0

Solubility in Water - Soluble.

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT

It is recommended that in normal drilling conditions 0.005 – 0.01 gal/bbl (0.13 – 0.25 lts/m3) of MOS-SBS be added to system initially.

PACKING AND STORAGE

MOS-SBS is packaged in 5‐gal (18.9‐L) and 55‐gal (208‐L) drums. Store in dry, well‐ventilated area. Keep container closed. Keep away from heat, sparks and flames. Store away from incompatibles.
