Defoamer Monovalent Brine DEFOAM-A100

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

DEFOAM A100 is a high molecular weight fatty alcohol based defoamer to control foaming in all water-base drilling fluids as well as brine-based completion and work over fluids.

APPLICATION

DEFOAM A100 is used for the elimination and control of foam associated with the mixing and circulation of brines, as well as in dispersed and non-dispersed drilling fluid systems.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Appearance - Colorless to pale yellow liquid. 

Specific Gravity - 0.82 – 0.90
Flash Point (PMCC) - Above 70°C

Efficiency test in 1.15 SG NaCl brine - 80% foam height to be eliminated in ≤ 60 seconds.

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT

Typical treatment range is 0.05-0.30 lb/bbl (0.14-0.86 kg/m3).

PACKING AND STORAGE

DEFOAM A100 is packaged in 5-gal (18.9-L) cans and 55-gal (208-L) drums. Store in dry, well-ventilated area. Keep container closed. Keep away from heat, sparks and flames. Store away from incompatibles.
