CT-NFA 700 Non Invasive Filtrate Reducer
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
CT-NFA-700 is a finely graded fibrous free flowing powder material which helps in preventing filtrate invasion. Filtrate invasion is as existing factor that adversely effects well bore stability. There are number of technologies / processes used for controlling filtrate invasion. One of the latest and highly effective methods is use of Non-Invasive Fluid loss additive in drilling fluid formulations. It helps in blocking pores of various sizes.
APPLICATION
CT-NFA-700 is a fine graded powder formulation which is further treated to enhance water expelling properties. When added at a dose of up to 2% in the drilling fluid, it can seal heterogenous permeable formations. CT NFA 700 is an ultra-low invasion additive that protects the formation by minimizing the fluid invasion into matrix pores and micro fractures. This product of structured particle size prevents fractures from propagating, creating, a seal to effectively minimize fluid invasion into micro fractures stabilizing weak shale and effectively reduce down hole troubles and formation damage.
ADVANTAGES
• CT-NFA 700 is easy to mix.
• It imparts marginal increase in viscosity and well bore stability.
• The low permeability cake can be easily removed by wash fluids and helps reducing formation damage.

Performance Test:
A typical Non damaging fluid formation is described for lab testing:
Tap water is used for preparing the base fluid. The ingredients are;
1) KCl 5-7% + 2) Biocide 0.1% + 3) Xanthan Gum 0.45% + PAC LV 1.2% + 5) PAC R 0.3% + MgO 0.2% + MCC 6.0% + CT NFA 700 2%
The hot rolled base mud (HR at 100 C for 16 Hrs) is tested for invasion without the presence of CT-NFA 700 for base mud invasion.
Another mud sample with CT-NFA 700 is hot rolled similarly and loaded into the sand bed invasion test equipment. Pressure is slowly increased to 500 psi. It is maintained for 30 minutes.
The invasion of the fluid shall be 50% less
PACKING AND STORAGE
CT-NFA 700 is packed in 25kg multiwall paper bags. Store in dry, well‐ventilated area. Keep away from heat, sparks and flames.
