PRODUCT DESCRIPTION  

CT THIN O is a dispersant and thinner for synthetic oil based muds. It reduces viscosity and gel strength without the need for dilution.

 

  APPLICATION  

CT THIN O is reduces viscosity and gel strengths in oil base mud caused by high content of colloidal solids which are generated during the drilling process.

 

  ADVANTAGES  

• CT THIN O is a very powerful thinner.    

• CT THIN O is effective in high weight fluids.

 

  PHYSICAL PROPERTIES  

Physical appearance                                          - Clear Amber Liquid.

Specific gravity                                                     - 0.87 – 0.94.

Flash Point (PMCC)                                             - >65°C.

Solubility in water                                                - Insoluble.

 

  RECOMMENDED TREATMENT  

Normal recommended treatment is 0.25 – 2 Ib/bbl (0.71 – 5.71 Kg/m3) based on the requirement.

 

  PACKING AND STORAGE  

CT THIN O is packaged in 55‐gal (208‐L) drums. Store in dry, well‐ventilated area. Keep container closed. Keep away from heat, sparks and flames. Store away from incompatibles.
