DESCRIPTION

FLC-OBM is a naturally occurring asphalt used for high temperature, High Pressure filtration control in all Oil Base Mud Systems. It is often used to seal low pressure and depleted formations. It is compatible with all Oil based systems and can be used in the initial formulation or added on formations. Normal dosage ranges from 2-8 lb/bbl with occasional daily additions in 0.25-0.5 lb/bbl concentrations

APPLICATION

• It Reduces both API and HTHP fluid loss in all oil based mud systems

• It helps to improve the overall emulsion stability, thermal stability and suspension properties of most formations.

• It increases the viscosity at low temperatures
